Rosemary comes from outside Newcastle, Co Down, she became a Christian at the age of eleven. She was influenced in her faith by Newcastle Young Life group where she then became the leader, she also lead a good news club in Dundrum for many years.
Newcastle Presbyterian Church is her home congregation where she was involved in different Christian ministries within the Church. She has spent many summers on teams and camps, including overseas teams to Malawi, Brazil, Spain and Romania.
She has worked in various jobs and at a time worked in sales at the Newcastle branch of NIE and also as a Care Assistant in the Presbyterian Residential Home – River House. The position she left before training as a deaconess was the role of Activity Co-ordinator in Faith House, Finaghy.

She started her studies at Union Theological College in September 2006 and during her training she shadowed Roberta Irvine, deaconess in Comber, as well as doing a placement in Kilkeel Presbyterian Church. Prior to her appointment in First Antrim she spent a year in First Saintfield Presbyterian Church as a full time Probationary Deaconess.
Things Rosemary enjoys doing… spending time with family and friends. Going for walks, reading, watching a good movie and creative craft. Loves the Mournes, her dog, a good Chinese, coffee and cake!
